DHARWAD: T.G. Doreswamy Naik, Inspector-General of Police, North Zone, has said that the "Village beat system" will be strengthened in the days to come. Speaking to press persons here on Friday, Mr. Naik said that the message has been conveyed to officials about strengthening of the beat system and about the steps to be taken. "The Inspectors have been asked to hold `Jana Sampark' meetings at least once in a month. We also plan to constitute `Citizens Committee' having a representative from every section of society", he said.
