THRISSUR: Speaker Therambil Ramakrishnan inaugurated a seminar on `Heavy metals in ayurvedic formulations' on Saturday. He said that the tendency to evaluate the Indian systems of medicines in Western scientific paradigms should be curbed. Joint Advisor of the Department of ayurveda, yoga, naturopathy, unani, sidha and homoeopathy (AYUSH) Reetha George and ayurvedic experts such as M.J. Nanjan, H. Sankarasubramanyan, D. Vijayakumar, S.N. Kumar, R.S. Shetty, K. Unnikrishna Pillai P Jayaprakash Narayanan, Naresh Thondare, S. Gopalakrishnan Nair and D. Ramanathan were among those who spoke on the occasion.
