KANNUR: Governor and Chancellor of the universities in the State R.L. Bhatia has called upon the universities to trigger a spirit of inquiry among students at a time when the institutions of higher education are undergoing unprecedented changes. "Without an unflagging spirit of inquiry and exploration, no academic pursuit can aspire for anything substantial," Mr. Bhatia said, while inaugurating the decennial celebration of Kannur University at a function on the Mangattuparamba campus here on Saturday. He said the spirit of inquiry was all the more important as the present society was "nurtured and nourished by non-stop flow of information." The Governor began his speech by highlighting the sacred character of universities where "the more you stay and deeper you pray, the better you become in mind, body and intellect."
