Major Kochi projects under review

T.K.A. Nair asks officials to stick to time schedule

KOCHI: T.K.A. Nair, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, on Saturday, reviewed the major projects coming up in Kochi. Officials from various departments took part in the meeting. A high-level official group has been formed to monitor the projects.

The projects under review included the LNG (liquefied natural gas) terminal, Vallarpadom container transhipment terminal, GAIL (India) Ltd. petrochemical complex, city gas distribution, port-based special economic zone, gas grid from Kochi to the Kayamkulam plant of the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and the Rajiv Gandhi Combined Cycle Power Project Stage 2.

All these projects are being monitored by the Prime Minister's Office.
