Train services yet to be restored

CHENNAI: Due to breaches across railway tracks between Nellore and Bitragunta in Southern Central Railway train services to Delhi, Hyderabad and Kolkata continue to remain disrupted for the second day.

Southern Railway maintained minimum services to these cities on Thursday and Friday through diverted routes. The situation would remain the same on Sunday also.

While eight express trains would be cancelled and eight other trains would be diverted via Guntakal, Wadi and Secunderabad.

The following are the cancelled trains: Chennai Central-Vijayawada Janshatabdi Express, Pinakini Express, Central-New Delhi Grand Trunk Express, Central-Hyderabad Express, Central-Kakinada Circar Express, Alleppey-Dhanbad/Tata Express, Central-Jammu Tawi Andaman Express, and Nagercoil-Howrah Gurudev Express.

The following trains, which are scheduled to leave on Sunday, are diverted via Renigunta, Guntakal and Guntur.

The Thiruvananthapuram- Gorakpur Raptisagar Express, Thiruvananthapuram- New Delhi Kerala Express, Thiruvananthapuram- Guwahati Express, Chennai Central- Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express, Chennai Central- New Delhi Tamil Nadu Express, Central- Ahmedabad Navjivan Express, Chennai Central- Jaipur Express and Chennai Central- Howrah Coromandel Express.
