EPF Vigilance Cell

on November 7

CHENNAI: Vigilance Cell of Employees' Provident Fund Organisation will function at 37, Royapettah High Road on November 7 between 9.30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

All complaints relating to the implementation of Employees' Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 and related matters may be lodged with the Vigilance Cell.

All grievances relating to the settlements of claims, sanctioning of advances, transfer of accounts and issue of annual accounts can also be lodged with the cell for redressal.

Broadband bill date extended

BSNL Chennai Telephones has announced the extension of broadband bill date for October this year up to November 11 to DataOne Broadband customers. They are requested to contact the accounts officers (telephone revenue) in their respective areas immediately.

Cardiac camp for children

Madras Medical Mission organised a cardiac screening camp for the children of Udhavum Karangal on Saturday. The doctors and paramedical staff of MMM screened about 260 children. Those identified with cardiac ailments will receive treatment from MMM.

Food packets supplied to flood victims

The Park, Chennai supplied food packets to the flood victims and families left homeless after the October 28 rain. People sheltered at the Chetpet Corporation School and Dobhikhana were given food.

Science talent exam

Krishnaswamy Matriculation Higher Secondary School of Nungambakkam branch held an inter-school science talent search examination last Saturday, in which 315 students from 18 schools participated.

Prizes were given away to various categories.

The tests were held for students of class VII, VIII and IX.
