Power bills payment

The cash collection counters of the CPDCL in Hyderabad will function on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to enable consumers pay their power bills. The bills can also be paid at eSeva centres which will be kept open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. -- Special Correspondent

Saiva Siddhanta classes

Thruvavaduthurai Atheenam, an ancient Saivaite Mutt in Tamil Nadu is offering a two-year correspondence-cum-contact programme on Saiva Siddhantha philosophy in Tamil. A study centre has been set up in Chinmaya High School near Malkajgiri railway station, where contact classes are held on the second Sunday of every month. Alert sounded

Following the serial blasts in New Delhi, the Hyderabad city police and Cyberabad police have been put on a state of high alert.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Mahendar Reddy asked people to be cautious of suspicious objects at all the places. "An alert has been issued across all the police stations in Cyberabad," he said. - Staff Reporter

Condoled

The city Bharatiya Janata Party has expressed shock over the series of bomb blasts in Delhi and expressed its condolences to the families of blast victims. The city unit president Venkataramani said that though terrorists had been striking at regular intervals in the city and Delhi, the security forces failed to prevent such incidents. - Staff Reporter
