Man killed in accident

VIJAYAWADA: A man died and three others were injured when an RTC bus hit an auto-rickshaw near Jyothi Mahal centre on Saturday.

The Krishnalanka police said that the auto-rickshaw was crossing the road near Jyothi Mahal centre when the speeding RTC bus hit it from behind.

A passenger in the autorickshaw Vankayala Srinu (25) of Kamayyathopu died on the spot while auto-rickshaw drivers Teeka Srinu, commuters Venkat Reddy and Priya escaped with injuries.

A case was registered.
