The columns show maximum and minimum temperature in Celsius, rainfall during last 24 hours (tr-trace) and total rainfall in mm since October 1, 2005. Isolated rain in Tamil Nadu CHENNAI: Northeast monsoon has been active over Rayalaseema and Kerala. Rainfall occurred at most places over Telangana, and Kerala, at many places over Rayalaseema and at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and south interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and north interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep. Dry weather prevailed over coastal Karnataka. Kochi Airport, Cherthala (Alapuzha dt.) and Kumarakom (Kottayam dt.) recorded heavy rain fall of 7 cm. The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm are: Eturnagaram (Warangal dt.) 6, Nagarjunasagar Dam (Nalgonda dt.) 5, Kottayam 4, Prakasam Barriage (Krishna dt.), Atchampet (Guntur dt.), Yemmiganur (Kurnool dt.) and Bidar 3 each, Kakinada, Sattenapalli (Guntur dt.), Rajamundry (east Godavari dt.), Mantralayam, Srisailam, Pattikonda and Dhone (all Kurnool dt.), Cannur, Alapuzha and Madikeri 2 each and Madhira and Perur (both Khammam dt.), Kalingapatnam, Narasapur, Gannavaram, Kurnool, Ananthapur, Jammalamadugu and Proddatur (both Cuddapah dt.), Hyderabad Airport, Pargi (Rengareddy dt.), Nagar Kurnool (Mahabubnagar dt.), CIAL Kochi, Aluva (Ernakulam dt.), Thodupuzha (Idukki dt.), Chitradurga and Pavagada (Tumkur dt.) 1 each. Tuticorin recorded the highest maximum temperature of 37{+o} Celsius in the region. They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, south Tamil Nadu, above normal at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, rest coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over Telangana, south interior Karnataka, Kerala and were generally normal over rest of the region. FORECAST (valid until Tuesday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Telangana, north interior Karnataka and at a few places over north coastal Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and south interior Karnataka. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over rest Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep and coastal Karnataka. Farmers Weather Bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry (valid until Tuesday morning): Light to moderate rain is likely to occur over Chennai, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Thanjavur, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur and Pudukottai districts of Tamil Nadu and in Pondicherry. Isolated light to moderate rain is likely to occur over rest Tamil Nadu.
