Film on Alappuzha to be screened

ALAPPUZHA: A compact disc containing a documentary film on Alappuzha district produced by the Information and Public Relations Department would be released at a function at the Paravoor Government High School here at 3 p.m. on October 3.

Tourism Minister K. C. Venugopal would release the compact disc of the documentary by handing over a copy to the Alappuzha Collector K. R.

Muraleedharan. The documentary is directed by Sunny Joseph. The Alappuzha district panchayat president R. Nazar would preside over the function. Those who would offer felicitations at the functions include the Punnapra North panchayat president P. K. Rathi and PTA president of the school K. P. Satyakeerthi.

The information department would also hold a documentary film festival on the occasion. The film Vayalar Rama Varma by Lenin Rajendran, the film Takazhi by Vijayakrishnan would also be screened at the festival.
