BANGALORE: What she started as a small-time job has now given her national recognition. Asha Bai, who started with making papads, masala and khakra at home in 2000, has been presented the National Excellence Award 2005.

President A.P.J. Adbul Kalam honoured her with the award at New Delhi on Friday.
