BANGALORE: Winter need not be the time to wear warm clothes and stay away from those dull, chilly evenings. It could be the time to catch up with some dance, learn a trick or two to impress one and all. For some dancing around, just go to the city's Alliance Francaise de Bangalore, the registration venue for "Winter 2005, Intensive Dance Workshop". Organised by the French institute, Rock Around the Clock, Sin and Zero Gravity, the workshop seeks to emulate the success of "Winter 2004". So, for those of you geared up to gain mastery over your dance steps, here we go: "The workshop will cover various forms of dance such as Jive, Salsa, Cha Cha Cha, Merengue and Hip Hop," say the organisers. This year, the workshop will be held at two places in the city. "Sin" on Airport Road near Megabowl and at Zero Gravity on Residency Road, at Prestige Towers. The 20-day workshop will start on November 7. "The workshop," say the organisers, "is an earnest attempt to bring about, in the city of Bangalore, an ambience of celebration and a progression towards a culture of creativity through dance and movements. We hope to spread this event into every avenue of Bangalore, crafting ripples of motion."
