MAHBUBNAGAR: CPI (Maoist) Nallamala Area Committee secretary Lathakka and two other dalam members were taken into custody by a special police party. According to reliable sources, it is learnt that they were arrested on Wednesday afternoon near Nehru crossroads in Achampet. The trio were returning after consulting local doctors. It is said Lathakka was sick and had been undergoing treatment for the last two days. It is also learnt that Dr. Giridhar and Dr. Muralidhar Reddy who reportedly treated Lathakka were also taken into custody and are being interrogated. The identity of the two dalam members is yet to be established. An unidentified body was found near Dharmasamudram, three km from Mannanur. When contacted, SP K. Srinivas Reddy while ruling out the chance of an encounter, neither confirmed nor denied the arrest of the Maoists.
