London: The British Postal Department on Wednesday refused to withdraw a Christmas stamp which has a picture of a man and a woman with Hindu markings, worshipping infant Christ, after Hindu leaders claimed it insulted their religion. ``It is not possible to amend or withdraw the 68p stamp," a spokesman of Royal Mail Service said. The Hindu leaders demanded withdrawal of the stamp, saying it hurt the sentiments of the community. "The image is insensitive because it shows people who were clearly Hindu worshipping Christ," Secretary-General of the Hindu Forum of Britain, said. PTI
