According to police sources, Polisetti Sujatha (19), a degree first year student of a private college, hanged herself in her house at Kammagudem in Mutakondur village of Yadgarigutta mandal on Tuesday. Four students arrested on ragging charge
K. Alexander of Chinthagumpalli village in Chinnaganjam mandal, a B.Tech student, consumed pesticide in his house on October 26. His father lodged a complaint with the police stating that the victim was ragged by seniors. He named six students studying B.Tech second year. The police arrested M. Naresh Babu of Kesavarajupadu in Karamchedu mandal, M. Anil Kumar of Donasapudi in Chinnaganjam mandal, M. Mohanrao of Tenali and K. Mohana Rao of Baptla. Special Correspondent

According to prosecution, Sreenivasa Reddy was killed in Gopala Nagaram on June 19, 1998, by six persons with deadly weapons and bombs to settle scores. The wife of the deceased had, in her complaint, named Thangellamudi Ramesh, Sankhavarapu Prasad, Bhasha, Sk.John Bhasha, Kolluri Adeyya and Paddeti Ravi Prasad. The students of Sri Venkateswara University's Department of political science and public administration have collected Rs.20,100 from public towards providing relief and rehabilitation to the earthquake victims of Kashmir.
