Do-gooder's recommendations

Some people move around observing even seemingly trivial but crucial things. Such a person was present at the inauguration of the mini-civil station in Aluva a few days back.

He handed over a list of recommendations to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy hoping that people's lives will be easier once somebody took note of these.

The first among his recommendations is that motorists dip their headlights when a vehicle comes from the opposite direction during night.

The iron frame that supports the passenger seat in buses must be covered with a sponge so that passengers do not stand the risk of disfiguring their face and losing their tooth when the driver applies sudden brake, goes the second.

He also says that drivers of many Government vehicles do not apply the clutch when changing gear. This takes a heavy toll on the life of the gearbox.

The do-gooder has also demanded restructuring of the Revenue Department, so that encroachers are removed from Government land. For this, he has given his mobile number, so that he would be able to point out a few encroachments in Alangad and Kadungaloor. He adds that a concrete wall has to be constructed in the Eloor industrial belt so that factories do not let out toxic effluents into the Periyar River.
