Natwar meets Manmohan again

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister K. Natwar Singh had a late night meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday, the second in the evening.

The meeting assumed significance against the backdrop of the Volcker committee report implicating Natwar Singh in the Iraqi oil transactions.

Sources said Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee and some senior officials connected with security were present at the Prime Minister's residence.

Unconfirmed reports said it was a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security and had nothing to do with the Volcker Committee report. — PTI
