Pattas distributed to landless poor

HYDERABAD
: Minister for Mines and Geology P. Sabita Indira Reddy distributed 1,300 patta certificates to the landless poor of Janwada and Mirzaguda villages of Shankerpally mandal in Ranga Reddy district here on Thursday.
At a public meeting, the Minister thanked Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy for relaxing Government rules for allotting the 50 acres of prime land for the cause of the rural eligible poor.
She advised beneficiaries to occupy the allotted land and take up construction.
The beneficiaries were also urged not to sell their lands at throw away prices as the area was sure to develop in a few years time.
The Minister also said that electricity connection to the rural areas would be given on a payment of Rs. 100.
