Labourer electorcuted

HYDERABAD : A labourer was electrocuted and three others sustained burns when snapped electric wires fell on them at Cherlapally Industrial Area on Thursday night. While Maddileti, 35, died on the spot, Mukundam, 30, Urukundu, 30, and E. Raju, 28, were shifted to hospital with serious burns.

The Cherlapally Industrial Association assigned the road widening work to a contractor. As part of the work, the contractor engaged labourers to remove four electric polices obstructing the way.

One of the poles, while being removed with a crane, fell on the high-tension wires and came in contact with the labourers.
