Buyer-seller meet

Small Industries Service Institute (SISI) and the National Small Industries Corporation will conduct vendor development programme, seminar-cum-exhibition and buyer-seller meet here on December 14 and 15, at Classic Gardens, Secunderabad with the objective of supporting industries by development marketing linkages with Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, National Thermal Power Corporation and other public sector undertakings. District science expo

The district education officer has announced that the district-level Science Exhibition for the academic year 2005-06 will be conducted at St. Theresa's Girls' High School, Erragadda from November 25 to 27. All Government aided and unaided upper, primary and high schools are to participate compulsorily and have to submit their exhibits along with write-ups. Registrations will be conducted from November 23 to 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The main theme for the exhibition will be `Science and Technology for Rural Development', while the sub-themes will be environmental management, industries for rural development, landmarks in science and information and communication technology in education and mathematical models, according to a press release. Training for SCs/STs

The Ministry of Labour's directorate for employment and training has launched the second batch of six months computer training at APTECH Ltd for job seekers from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. The computer training is offered free of cost to SC/ST candidates of the twin cities. Students and employees and those who have undergone such training earlier or those who have crossed the age of 30 are not eligible. Those interested with Mathematics, Economics, Statistics and Commerce as one of their subjects at graduation level can contact the sub-regional employment officer at the coaching-cum-guidance centre for SC/ST candidates, ATI Campus, Vidya Nagar, opposite Shivam Temple on or before November 7, according to a press release.
