NEW DELHI: A forum on Mekong development is being held here next week to explore new opportunities and areas of cooperation between India and the six countries sharing the Mekong river. About 120 participants from India, including representatives of the government and major private companies, as well as from six countries of the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) are expected to participate in the Mekong Development Forum (MDF) on November 10. The one-day forum, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), will identify areas of cooperation in infrastructure development, trade and investment, tourism, information technology, manufacturing, and agri-business in the GMS member countries.
