Conference on Vedic technology in Vizag today

City chapter of Sri Maharshi Intellectual Forum to be inaugurated


  • Efforts on to create awareness about Vedic heritage
  • Faculty members of Andhra University invited

    VISAKHAPATNAM : A conference on Vedic technology and inauguration of the city chapter of Sri Maharshi Intellectual Forum will be held on Sunday.

    Announcing this at a media conference on Saturday, Sri Maharshi Research Institute of Vedic Technology (SRIVT) chairman A.B. Sudhakara Sastry said the institute was making efforts to create awareness about the rich Vedic heritage and apply it to modern science. A forum to strike coordination between Vedic pundits and modern scientists was being established for the purpose, he said.

    Main aim

    ``Our objective is to bring to light the knowledge and wisdom of ancient Vedic seers of India and to ensure that the benefits of such knowledge are made available for the prosperity of mankind.

    A recent achievement of ours is compilation of an authoritative version of Rishi Bharadwaja's Ancient aeronautics and its translation into English and Telugu with the help of the scholars and scientists of Sree Maharshi Educational Trust (SMET), he said.

    Dr. Sastry said he had digitised 60,000 pages of the entire collection of publications, journals and manuscripts in oriental manuscript libraries all over India with reference to Vedic sciences and knowledge which was first of its kind in India.

    A gist of contents in 450 ancient scientific works was prepared and he would give a power-point presentation on Indian scientific and technical heritage at Sunday's conference to which professors and all faculty members of Andhra University were invited.
