Coimbatore: The Association of Management of Private Schools (CBSE) has requested the Central Board of Secondary Education to withdraw its directive that CBSE schools should not collect fees for girls who are the only child in their families. In a statement on Saturday, the president of the Association T.V. Angappan said that the move would make the schools unviable. If the Board insisted on implementing the scheme, schools should be compensated for the fees not collected.
