Training programme on growing Bonsai

It is open to housewives, college students and nursery businessmen

CHENNAI: A day-long training programme on "growing Bonsai at home" will be conducted by the Urban Horticulture Development Centre (UHDC) of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University on November 10 .

The programme is open to housewives, college students, nursery businessmen, urban entrepreneurs and all horticulture-lovers.

The course will cover the selection of plants, selection of pots, growing condition, medium, nutrition, training bonsai into different styles, maintaining bonsai plants, pest and disease control.

Those interested in reshaping their existing Bonsai can also bring them before the day of training at 3 p.m.

Training certificates and notes will be issued to all participants.

The registration fee is Rs. 300. The venue is New No. 9, Ramanathan Street, New Avadi Road, Kilpauk, Chennai-10 (9.30 a.m.).
