IMPHAL:
Social organisations in Nagaland have appealed to the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak-Muivah) not to back out of the peace talks with the Centre and disturb the ceasefire. In an interview to BBC, NSCN(IM) general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah had said that if there was no positive outcome by January 31 next, when the present ceasefire expires, his outfit would go back to the jungle. The Naga Mothers' Association, the Naha Hoho and the Naga Students' Federation said that though the talks had not yielded any result, the NSCN(IM) must not pull out.
