Octoberfest is here, finally

EVEN THE rain god could not stop it for long. After being postponed, Octoberfest 2005 will finally kick-off at the Palace Grounds on Friday. A review party has just been held to launch the carnival logo, which understandably features a barrel with a "kingfisher" on it.

The three-day event will feature live music from top rock bands such as Moksha, Galeej Gurus, Ministry of Blues and Thermal And A Quarter. There will be a DJs' section also. You can also shop at a Flea Market with exotic ware from different corners of the country and get your face painted or your body tattooed. Optional, of course. There will be a gaming section to play as much as you want to, and a food court to satisfy the gourmet in you. For more information log on to www.the greatindianoctoberfest.com.
