One-way traffic goes

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The Government on Tuesday removed the unidirectional traffic movement from Jubilee Hills checkpost to Madhapur arch.

One-way traffic was introduced three months ago as part of the unidirectional movement from NFCL rotary to Madhapur checkpost by then City Police Commissioner V. Dinesh Reddy.

However, faced with stinging criticism over the one-way rule, the State Government stayed the order of the Police Commissioner in a week of its introduction.

As per the order, the unidirectional traffic movement from NFCL rotary to Jubilee Hills checkpost was lifted.

But the one-way rule continued on the Madhapur arch-Jubilee Hills checkpost stretch. Recently, Khairatabad MLA P. Janardhan Reddy represented to Home Minister K. Jana Reddy to re-introduce two-way traffic movement on this route. Sources said that the restriction was removed following the representation.
