Civic official in ACB trap

Properties worth over Rs. 40 lakhs unearthed

HYDERABAD:
Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Tuesday arrested Alwal Municipal Commissioner V. Srinivas Goud on the charge of possessing assets disproportionate to his income.
Special teams simultaneously searched the houses of Mr. Goud at Kukatpally in city and Mahbubnagar district and his office at Alwal, ACB Joint Director A.R. Srinivas said. Properties worth over Rs. 40 lakhs included four houses, six house sites, and three acres of land at Vikarabad in Ranga Reddy district.

In another case, ACB officials on Monday arrested Khairatabad Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) J. Bhaskar and his private driver K. Rupesh Reddy on charge of accepting Rs. 2,000 bribe.
