Seven years' RI for sexual assault
The Additional Sessions Judge S.C. Malik rejected the plea of the convict for a lenient punishment. Counsel for the convict submitted that his client Nazim had to take care of his parents, his pregnant wife and nine brothers and sisters but the Judge rejected it. The accused, who was in love with the prosecutrix, had promised to marry her, the prosecution said. On January 11 this year, the accused had lured away the victim to a flat at Dilshad Garden in East Delhi, forcibly confined her in a room and sexually assaulted her for a fortnight, the chargesheet stated.
Three security guards held
According to the police, bundles of clothes worth Rs. 19 lakhs were found stolen from a factory in Kirti Nagar on November 6.
Woman alleges criminal assault
Four arrested
According to the police, the accused -- Suresh Chaudhary, Rakesh Yadav, Suresh Kandpal and Kishan Verma -- were arrested at Mandawali in East Delhi on November 5. The police recovered two stolen motorcycles from the accused. The motorcycles had been stolen from Shakarpur in East Delhi and Chanakyapuri in New Delhi.
