Naxalite arrested
RAIPUR:
Munna Yadav, a naxalite carrying a reward of Rs. 20,000 on his head and wanted in 20 serious offences, has been arrested, police said on Wednesday. "Kondagaon Dalam leader Munna Yadav was arrested from the Rajbeda jungle of Bastar district after an encounter on Tuesday," Bastar District Superintendent of Police Gurjinder Pal Singh said. Following a tip-off, a police party went to the jungle and a group of naxalites attacked them. In the gun-battle that followed Munna Yadav was arrested.
He was allegedly involved in about 20 crimes, including attempt to murder, dacoity, arson, Mr. Singh said. — PTI
