A great loss

The death in New Delhi on Wednesday of the former President, K.R. Narayanan, is a great loss to the nation. Born in a Dalit family at Uzhavoor, a remote village in Kerala, he rose to occupy the highest office in the country through sheer dint of hard work and strength of character. His life is worthy of emulation by all.
