Riots in Paris

This refers to the sober editorial, `Troubling questions for France' (Nov. 9). Its colonial past is now worrying France. Discontented settlers from many African countries whose resources went into providing the best life for Parisians and the French for many years have now let the world know of their plight in the land of equality, liberty, and fraternity.

As you have rightly noted, with the flame spreading to different parts of Europe, it is a pressure cooker-type of situation where the suppressed immigrant populace, subjected to discrimination and inequality all across Europe, is rising up in unison.
