ADILABAD: Rumours are rife about the likelihood of Union Labour Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Union Minister of State for Rural Development A. Narendra resigning their posts to "strengthen the party," according to sources. It may be recalled that disgruntled MLAs - Mandadi Satyanarayana Reddy, D. Srinivasa Rao, K. Laxma Reddy and Sara Rani - demanded that Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao and Mr. Narendra prove their commitment to separate Telangana by resigning their posts. Sources said that the party leadership was likely to give in to the demand considering the political developments. Speculation was also rife regarding two TRS MLAs from Adilabad - Narayan Rao Patel (Mudhole) and Soyam Bapu Rao (Boath) - planning to join the Congress or side with expelled former Minister S. Santosh Reddy. The two, however, did not commit themselves to either of the options so far. Meanwhile, the party deputed Adilabad MP T. Madhusudan Reddy to make efforts to keep the flock together. Mr. Reddy reportedly agreed to the idea on the assurance that he would be the party's choice to fill one of the two posts to be vacated by Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao and Mr. Narendra. Warangal MP D. Ravindra Naik is said to be the other choice.
