Upgradation of four-lane road to eight lanes keeping in view future needs Rs. 85 crores sanctioned for RR district for road works.
HYDERABAD:
Minister for Mines and Geology Sabita Indra Reddy on Wednesday said that realignment of outer ring road is in the offing.
She said that the Government had decided to upgrade the four-lane road to eight lanes keeping in view future needs. She said that 32 villages of Ranga Reddy district would come under IT corridor. She hoped that it would expedite development of the area. She was participating in a function where Minister for Roads and Buildings Jakkampudi Rammohan Rao laid the foundation stone for the four-lane approach road from Hyderabad-Bangalore national highway to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad.
Mr. Rao said sanction of Rs. 23.5 crores was accorded. In that, Rs. 10.20 crores would be for construction of the approach road, including flyover over the railway crossing and Rs. 9.6 crores for another approach road from Hyderabad-Srisailam road to the airport apart from development of four other connecting roads. He said that Rs. 85 crores was sanctioned for Ranga Reddy district for taking up road works.
