Train runs over boy

A two-year-old boy Mohd. Ahmed who was playing on the railway track with other children at Fatehnagar was killed after a local train hit him on Wednesday. A resident of Indira Gandhi Nagar, the kid was reportedly playing hide-and-seek game and failed to notice the approaching train, the Nampally railway police said.

Dies in freak accident

A construction company employee, M. Shiva Reddy, 22, who was supervising demolition of a wall, died on the spot when a JCB machine's hook hit him on the head on Tuesday night at Raidurg.

Held with fake passport

Immigration authorities at Begumpet airport on Tuesday arrested one Mohammed Niyas Thalanar Thoduku, 30, on charge of flying from Dubai using a fake passport.

A native of Kozhikode district in Kerala, he said he went to Dubai nine months ago on his original passport to work as a labourer. As his employer retained his travel documents, he allegedly secured a passport from a local travel agent by paying 2,800 Dirhams and returned to Hyderabad.
