A tale of the missing gown

The authorities at Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) sent an employee to Kerala University to bring the gown to be worn by the Governor during a convocation scheduled to be held on the campus on Thursday. The occasion was the conferring of the doctorate on G. Madhavan Nair, Chairman, Indian Space Research Organisation, and N.R. Narayana Murthy, Chairman of Infosys Technologies. When the KSRTC bus reached Ernakulam, the the box containing the gown was found to be missing. The university authorities lodged a complaint with the Kalamassery police and organised a new gown. However, the function was postponed following the death of the former president K.R. Narayanan.
