Pondicherry: A two-member delegation of the Kamarajar Desiya Congress Chennai comprising its founder cum general secretary M. S. Rajendran, and its legal advisor V.Anandarajulu, called on the Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, recently and presented the award "Pudhuvai Kamarajar" instituted by the party. Mr. Rajendran told newsmen that the award presentation was a highlight of celebration of the 101st birth anniversary of Tiruppur Kumaran and the 30th anniversary of the late Congress leader Kamaraj. As Mr. Rangasamy could not be present at the meeting held on October 2 in Chennai the team met him subsequently at his office here and presented the award. It was in recognition of Mr. Rangasamy`s straightforwardness in public life and his simplicity.
