`Renew firearm licence'

TIRUNELVELI: The Collector, Atul Anand, has asked those having pistol, revolver and rifle to renew the licence before December 31, 2005.

In a statement, he said they, after paying the fee either at SBI or treasury, should send the original licence and the original chalan along with their applications affixed with stamp for Rs. 2 to the District Revenue Officer before December 31. If not, they should surrender their firearms to the nearest police stations on January 1, 2006.
