SOME SCHOOLS are old enough to have had students who represented India in the 1948 Olympics. Eric Prabhakar, now 81, who has that distinction, will be felicitated by Old Baldwinian Association at a gala event called "Yesterday once more" this weekend. Presenting a special award to him will be Rudy Oretti, vice-president and general manager of Leela Palace Kempinski. Also being honoured will be Sudrey Maben, the pioneering woman aviator and old student. Eric Philip Prabhakar (sprints) and Henry Rebello (hop skip and jump) both from Baldwins, went together to the London Olympics. Rebello had to retire with a sprained muscle. In London, Eric renewed his lifelong friendship with the American legend Jesse Owens who won four gold medals in the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
