Seminar on State's energy security challenges

BANGALORE: The Energy and Resources Institute, New Delhi, will organise a seminar on "Karnataka's Energy Security Challenges" on Friday at its southern regional centre at Domlur here.

A report, "Karnataka's Energy Security Challenges," will be released on the occasion. B.G. Rudrappa, former Chairman of the Karnataka Electricity Board (KEB); Sam Miller, Project Director of the BBC World Trust, India, and Purandar Chakravarthu and Megha Shukla, fellows, TERI, will participate in the inaugural session.

A. Jayaram, Chief of Bureau, The Hindu, Bangalore; A. Ravindra, former Chief Secretary and Chairman, Centre for Sustainable Development, and Subhash Chandra Kuntia, Project Coordinator, Biomass Energy for Rural India Project, will participate in the panel discussion on "Does the media care?"
