Krishna Iyer's birthday celebrations postponed

KOCHI: The 90th birthday celebrations of renowned jurist and former Supreme Court judge V.R. Krishna Iyer, organised by the Krishna Menon Memorial Society, has been postponed due to the death of the former President K.R. Narayanan.

The celebrations were to be held at the Town Hall on November 13. — Staff Reporter

GCDA tender today

KOCHI: The tender of plots owned by Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA), which was to be held on Thursday, has been postponed to Friday due to the State holiday. — Staff Reporter

Children's Day programmes cancelled

Kochi: The District Child Welfare Committee has condoled the death of the former President K.R. Narayanan.

The Children's Day programmes, including the rally on November 14 and the competitions to be held from Friday at the Children's Park, have been cancelled. — Staff Reporter

KOCHI: The Prime Minister's high-level committee for preparing a report on the social, economic and educational status of the Muslim community will conduct a hearing at the Ernakulam Guest House on Friday morning.

The committee will receive complaints from the public.

Music contest
