KOCHI: The Kerala History Association has condoled the death of the former President K.R. Narayanan. In a condolence message, president V.R. Krishna Iyer and secretary E.P. Antony said that Narayanan was a leader who led India in a most critical stage, keeping up the spirit of the Constitution. Dakshin Bharath Hindi Prachar Sabha also condoled the death of K.R. Narayanan. In a message, sabha vice-president Vakkam N.Vijayan said that his demise was a national loss. Expressing condolence at the death of the former President, Nationalist Youth Congress State committee said that he had upheld the tenets of secularism even amidst the most negative circumstances. Carmelites of Mary Immaculate Prior General Antony Kariyil also expressed condolence at the death of K.R. Narayanan. The Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry also expressed its condolence. The chamber executive committee said that the death of Narayanan was a great loss to Kerala and to India. The National Council of YMCAs of India South West India Region condoled the death of Naryanan. Kerala State SC/ST Coordination Forum vice-chairman P.K. Kumaran condoled the death of the former President. Mahathma Gandhi Trust, Kochi, also condoled the death of the former President. Trust general secretary M.K. Kandoran, in a statement, said that he was the founder patron of the trust.
