NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Thursday again rejected the bail application of Vikas Yadav, son of the former Rajya Sabha Member D.P. Yadav, in the Nitish Katara murder case of February 2002. Vikas Yadav had moved the trial court for bail after withdrawing his application from the Delhi High Court. The Delhi High Court had last month granted regular bail to Vishal Yadav, co-accused of Vikas Yadav in the case and nephew of D.P. Yadav. Mr. Vikas had moved the High Court on the following day on which Justice R.S. Sodhi had granted bail to Vishal Yadav. Mr. Justice Sodhi had also issued a notice to the Uttar Pradesh police. However, Mr. Vikas had later withdrawn the application and moved the trial court for relief. In the trial court, he had sought bail on the ground of the grant of bail to his cousin by the High Court.
