NEW DELHI: Whiz-kid Parimarjan Negi continued to delight by proving equal to sixth seeded Chinese Grandmaster Wang Yue and Madurai boy Poobesh Anand held 12th seeded Dutch International Master Erwin L'ami on a day of mixed fortunes for India following the second round of the World junior chess championships at Istanbul on Thursday. On a day when the girls' top seed and 2003 champion Georgia's Nana Dzagnidze crashed to a shock defeat at the hands of untitled Chinese Liu Pei, Tania Sachdev overpowered her Iranian friend Atousa Pourkashiyan to be among the 10 leaders. After holding second seeded Russian Evgeny Aleeksev in the opening round, Negi came up with a fighting draw with black pieces against Wang Yue.
