Door-to-door verification of electoral rolls begins

Public asked to verify their identity card numbers

Krishnagiri: On directions from the Election Commission of India, a door-to-door verification of electoral rolls has been taken up in all Assembly constituencies in Krishnagiri district.

In a statement issued here on Friday, Collector Mangat Ram Sharma, has asked the public to go through the electoral list and verify whether their names have been included. He said changes requesting inclusion of names could be made by filling in Form 6.

Similarly any changes in the entry of names from one part to another part could be made by filling in Form 8 A.

Mr. Sharma said that the verification process would be conducted till November 20 and has asked the public to verify their electoral identity card numbers.
