HUBLI: Members of Karnataka Youth Federation and Hubli-Dharwad Maxicab Association staged a demonstration here on Sunday. They burnt the effigies of MLAs of the Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti (MES) protesting against the burning of the Kannada flag in Belgaum on Saturday. The protestors raised slogans against MES activists. They alleged that MES leaders are trying to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in the State by raising the border dispute. They urged the State Government to take steps to protect the Kannadigas in Belgaum and the other border areas of the State.
