Democraticus triumphs

BANGALORE: Mr. S.M. Ruia's Democraticus, ridden by Appu, won the Shantiniketan Cup the main event of the races held here on Sunday. S. Padmanabhan trains the winner.

Fines: In the Dandeli Plate, C. Krishnan (Dhanush), and M. Reuben (Big Thrillz) were fined Rs. 1,000 each for the excessive use of the whip. In the Shantiniketan Cup, V.R. Jagadeesh (Mystic Heights) was fined Rs. 1,000 for inconveniencing Baffart (R. Marsahll) during the race. In the Air Force Cup (Div. I), Harsih (Sneak Preview) was fined Rs. 1,000 for causing interference to Purusharth (Appu) during the race. In the Sarb-Kla Plate, Srinath (Rapzpazazz) was fined Rs. 1,000 for the excessive use of the whip.
