KOLLAM: Host Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram scored facile wins in the South Zone under-13 inter-district cricket tournament at the Ashramam maidan here on Sunday. Kollam thrashed Kottayam by nine wickets while Thiruvananthapuram crushed Pathanamthitta by 81 runs. The scores: Kottayam 79 in 23.4 overs (Rahul Krishnan four for eight) lost to Kollam 80 for one in 20.2 overs (Jackson 31 not out, Navneet 31 not out) Thiruvananthapuram 178 for four in 30 overs (Ranjith 53 not out, Nithin 53) bt Pathanamthitta 97 in 30 overs (Akash five for 15). — Principal Correspondent
