SWR celebrates Rajyotsava

HUBLI: "When love and pride for a language fills a person's heart, it becomes a part of his identity," writer Siddhalinga Pattanashetti has said.

Speaking at a function organised by South Western Railway Kannada Sangha to mark "Suvarna Karnataka Rajyotsava" here recently, Dr. Pattanashetti said: "Karnataka is not just a geographical entity. It is the pride of Kannadigas."

Pralhad Joshi, MP, said it is heartening to note that pro-Kannada initiatives are being undertaken at the South Western Railway.

He suggested that those who know Kannada be posted in places that require regular interaction with people.
