Queen Mary's School to be upgraded

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Queen Mary's Government High School for Girls here will be upgraded as a junior college, the Visakha-I MLA, Dronamraju Satyanarayana, said here on Monday.

Participating in the Children's Day celebrations at the school, Mr. Satyanarayana assured that admissions into Intermediate course would commence next year.

The corpus fund required for the junior college would be raised from locals, he said.

The MLA handed over scholarships, donated by the voluntary organisation, Chaitanya Shravanthi, to 60 meritorious students.
